So… Anything interesting on TV last night? Let’s see… AFC Championship Game that was out of reach before the 4th quarter? No… Oh, I got it.
TWENTY EFFING FOUR!
**SPOILER ALERT**
First of all, right about now I want to marry Annie Wersching (FBI agent Renee Walker). Let me just get that out of the way. Dibs. Got that? Okay.
Wow, did the season ever start with a bang? The demolition derby in the middle of the road, the random gunfire to clear out the premises, the smash and grab, evidently leaving the guy’s daughter behind. Jeanine Garofalo popping up as the peculiar and awkward techie worker really threw me off. I knew she was going to be on the show already, but in this capacity (as if she could play any other) was startlingly off-putting. Memo to Jeanine and the casting directors: This show already has a peculiar and awkward techie. Her name is Chloe O’Brian. These two cannot exist in the same show, even if they’re not working together. I’m pretty sure that this will cause a rip in the 24 time continuum, or my head to explode. Either or. Also, Billy Walsh from Entourage makes an appearance, clean shaven, clean cut, and somewhat indignant, and the father from That 70’s Show proved that he can play a serious role, or at least he tried. I kept expecting Wilmer Valderrama to come stumbling in with his lisp and poor acting.
So, Tony Almeida is back, betraying Jack’s trust, and getting captured in the first two hours of the show. I’m already trying to figure out how he escapes captivity. I really do want to know why Tony’s turned, and whether it’s for good, as in forever. He certainly has to die this season, after “dying” last season. The question I have is as to whether it’s Jack that’s eventually responsible for it. Right now, I say yes. It has to be. Speaking of Jack and responsibility, I don’t think he was directly responsible for any kills in the first two hours. He was using the sniper as a human shield, and he and Renee shot simultaneously at someone who was shooting them. I don’t think Jack tallied any kills by himself, but I could be forgetting something.
Anyway, we’re on for 8:00 again tonight. I know where I’ll be.

TOTALLY thought of you while I was watching. Glad you enjoyed! The Jeanine Garafolo thing threw me too, but more so because she was startlingly skinny. I mean, wtf, Skeletor. Can’t wait for tonight!!! Oh, and you can marry Agent Walker if I can marry dirty Tony. Good girls love bad boys.
We’re watching it tonight (I couldn’t handle it after all the football). I’ll come back to this tomorrow…
Okay, now I’ve watched this one, but not last night’s. I think I might be hooked, though.
Jack Bauer really is badass… I mean, he’s no Chuck Norris. But he’s up there.
